Ariana Crossey

The Wessex Young Musicians’ Trust was kind enough to award me £500 towards auditioning expenses for music conservatoires. I wanted to write to let you know how the auditions went and what I am doing in pursuing my music career.
 I auditioned in November and December, which resulted in me being offered a place at four conservatoires, some with scholarship awards being offered as well!
 I decided to accept the offer from The Royal College of Music and will start my four-year BMus degree with them in September 2025 and I am also hoping to go up to London to get consultation lessons with professors before I start.
I am so grateful for the support that the Trust was able to provide to me and I am looking forward to continuing my studies to reach my full potential as a violinist.

I just wanted to say an extra thanks for the grant money I received in the summer. I’ve just bought an IPad with it that I can store all of my music on and already it’s been a massive help with my studies.

Laura Jones

I am just writing as you kindly gifted our daughter (Laura Jones) £500 last May for helping towards her music career and wanted to send you an update. She had auditions last December and we were all thrilled she was offered a place to study flute at the Royal College of Music in September. She will be performing at the Sherborne Abbey Festival this May. The money certainly was of huge benefit and gratefully received.
